hydrating toner is a non-exfoliating toner, suitable for days when your skin is dry and cannot tolerate exfoliation (including the mandelic blend toners), like when it's healing from treatments or sunburned or windburned from the environment.
make sure to use this only when your skin is compromised, and go back to your exfoliating products once your skin is healed up and back to normal to continue your skin clearing progress!
ingredients: hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) water, aqua (water), alcohol, glycerin (<1%), deuterium oxide (heavy water), sodium pca, gluconolactone, fructooligosaccharides (d-beta), glucosamine hci (d), sodium benzoate
*please note, there may be a typo on the bottle's ingredient list that says this formula contains honey, but i removed that in this formula in 2015!
note: new label, but same formula!
a proprietary blend of mandelic acid and d2o, this toner exfoliates skin, clears acne, and brightens hyperpigmentation from acne scarring and sun damage. the d2o provides additional moisture support, so this toner is ideal for skins that tend to be on the drier side - either in general or because of colder seasonal weather.

i am having trouble reordering this product from our contract lab, so i'm reformulating it with another more reliable manufacturer. i hope to have the new formula tested and back in stock by summer 2021.
to keep your skin clear via topicals, you just need to use acne-safe products and a daily exfoliant (be it a toner or serum). in lieu of this toner, i suggest you try using the 10% glycolic acid serum (it brightens too!) or the 2% salicylic serum (if you're more sensitive). you can also try the d2o mandelic blend if you happen to be on the drier side. if you're pretty clear, you may be able to get away by just using the mandelic cleanser, so long as it's not too drying for you.
if you need alternative product workarounds, i'm happy to help - just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
thank you SO MUCH for your patience and understanding,
a proprietary blend of mandelic acid and fruit acids, this toner exfoliates skin, clears acne, and brightens hyperpigmentation from acne scarring and sun damage.
while it is gentle enough for most skin types, skin that's more on the dry side should use magic mandelic + d2o toner, for more moisture support.
